Joggin for a Noggin is a one day Halloween themed fun run with the purpose of sending Neurosurgery kids to camp.
Kids and adults can register for a 1.4K trick-or-treat walk or a 5K run.
Registration includes the opening ceremonies, s’mores campfire roast, food and beverages and best costume prizes, and a silent auction. Joggin for a Noggin registration fees, donations and sponsorships are the funds that subsidise our neurosurgery families so the campers can attend Camp Everest South.
For many neurosurgical kids, this is the only opportunity they will have to attend a summer camp. This week provides an amazing time to find a sense of belonging among peers while experiencing all the joys of summer camp. Through a variety of outdoor adventure fun kids come away with a new sense of self confidence and independence.
We are proud to belong to a community that value giving all children infinite experiences, regardless of physical or mental ability.
We are pleased to announce that we were able to send
up to 15 neurosurgery kids to summer camp in 2024
and are hoping to continue to increase our numbers.
Easter Seals Alberta’s Camp Horizon created Camp Everest South for Neurosurgery kids ages 7-17 from the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Camp Everest South, within Camp Easter Seals, is located in Kananaskis Country, near Bragg Creek, Alberta.
Please visit Easter Seals Alberta for the Camp Horizon Program.
Thanks to Global Calgary for their amazing support.
